ENERGY CASE STUDY

  • In 2016, a 325-ton transformer was transported from CPR siding Myrtle Station to Clarington, Oshawa.
  • To travel the 13 km route, it took 10 of Anderson Haulages most experienced team members 14 hours.
  • A 4 axle tractor pulled the reactor 35 feet in length on a 12 axle double-wide Scheuerle.

HOOPER WELDING ENTERPRISES

OIL & GAS CASE STUDY

  • One of Anderson Haulage’s most impressive projects was the transportation of Hooper Enterprises 1,250,000 lb reactor in 2009.
  • The 131 foot long reactor traveled 6.5 km in Oakville, ON.
  • Two 10 axle Scheuerle’s supported the load; the front end was supported on 10 axles, which was pulled by a 4-axle tractor, and the back-end on 10 axles.

CHEMICAL CASE STUDY

  • May 2017, DAH facilitated a move of: Methanator with dimensions of 25’8” x 13’2” x 13’6” ½” weighing approximately 59,600 pounds
  • 2 Shifts Convertors with dimensions of:
  • (1) LT Shift Converter (a) – 42’0” x 18’0” x 16’9” @ 210,000 pounds
  • 1) LT Shift Converter (b) – 34’0” x 18’0” x 16’9” @ 210,000 pounds
  • Road transportation from the Alliance facility to the Port of Sarnia, ON to Brandon, MB.
  • Supply Barge for transportation to Duluth, MN.
  • Supply crew & cranes to load both vessels onto Barge

THE CROSSTOWN PROJECT

INFRASTRUCTURE CASE STUDY

  • In 2016, Metrolinx finished tunneling from Laird Drive to Yonge Street for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Project
  • In early 2017, Don Anderson Haulage transported all components for these two tunnel boring machines away from site.
  • Multiple loads were transported and ranged up to 170,000 lbs, 25 feet long, 22 feet wide, 15 feet tall.
  • More than 60 truck loads were utilized to finish transportation of the two tunnel boring machines.
  • Police, Cable Lifting Utility companies, DAH Escorts were utilized to transport the loads.

GORF MANUFACTURING

MINING CASE STUDY

  • In 2009, a 44-ton Tonner Tower was transported from East Porcupine to Kidd Creek, Ontario.
  • It took the team at Anderson Haulage 4 hours to travel 8 km.
  • The equipment used to haul the load was the 12 axle vessel deck. Built with the 3 axle jeep, 6 axle dolly and 3 axle tractor.
  • By taking advantage of the vessel deck, the low deck height provided a clearance under 20 feet allowing more accessibility under bridges.
  • Police escorted the load and three permits were required to transport the tower.
